Grievance Redressal Mechanism in Public procurement

 A Study by Procurement Observatory, Assam

Procurement is an essential function to obtain goods, works or services by a procuring entity. The World Bank, Asian Development Bank etc., has already standardized the procurement practices and implementing agencies of these are the State Government departments and undertakings. Vendors are the key stakeholders in the public procurement and they are many. The system is designed keeping in view the requirement of different stakeholders but yet many objectionable and unfavorable practices may enter into the system.  This results a personal sense of injustice among the stakeholders.  In view of the above, the Procurement Observatory, Assam proposes to conduct a study on Grievance handling mechanism with respect to specific requirements of the Public Procurement process.
